How to Turn DefragAll into a Run Command
This tutorial is an optional add on to How
to Defrag Multiple Drives at once if you would like to run the command with ease using
the Run Dialog box whenever you felt it necessary. Its only a small tutorial and will take
you less then 5 minutes so lets get started.
I know this tutorial is very short and sweet, that's because it really is that simple
anything that you would like to turn into a run command all you need to do is move it into
the system32 folder then by typing the name of that file in the Run command box the program
will run.
Important Do not play with any of the files/folder in the system32 folder unless you know what you are doing because you could damage your operating system. e.g don't delete anything!.
Step One
Click on Start and select Run
Or
Hold down the Windows key and press R
Step Two
Type in System32 and Click OK
Step Three
Now you just need to copy your DefragAll.bat file into the system32 folder
Step Four
Now you can use DefragAll as a run command by just typing
defragall (Case is not sensitive!) into the Run dialog box
That's All
You have just created a new run command that you are able to use when ever you need. Hopefully this will save you a little time in the future because I know most people don't like to clog up there desktop with icons and going through folders every time to run this program I felt was avoiding the point of my intention which was to make it very simple and quick!
