Setting up Outlook Express
This tutorial will walk you through configuring and email account within Outlook Express.
Step One
Open Outlook Express
This will either be an icon on your desktop as shown below
If there is no icon On the desktop
Click Start
All Programs
Then select Outlook Express from he list
Step Two
Click on Tools and then choose Accounts.
Note: if you have never used this program before in anyway shape or form then an Internet
connection wizard will usually open at this point if this is the case go straight to step 4
Step Three
Click Add and select Mail.
Step Four
In the Display Name field, Enter your full name.
Step Five
Click Next.
Step Six
In the E-mail Address field enter your full E-mail address.
Step Seven
Click Next
Step Eight
Where it says My incoming mail server is a _____ select POP3
This next section requires that you know your incoming/outgoing mail servers if you do not know your mail server click
Mail Servers
Step Nine
where it says incoming mail(pop3, imap or http)server. This is where you will enter your incoming mail server
Step Ten
10. Where it says outgoing mail(smtp) server. This is where you will enter your outgoing server.
Step Eleven
Click Next
Step Twelve
In the Account Name filed, Enter your full E-mail address again
Step Thirteen
In the Password field, enter the password for your E-mail account.
Step Fourteen
Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password, If not then leave this box unchecked.
Step Fifteen
Click Next
Step Sixteen
Click Finish
Step Seventeen
Click Close
Congratulations!
You are now set up and ready to send and receive email through your Outlook Express
