Scheduling Spybot Search & Destroy to auto run

By now you should have installed spybot search and destroy and know how to run a basic scan, but maybe you don't have the time to run a scan everyday or just for convenience you would rather it run itself taking the task of your hands, then this tutorial will show you how.

Step One

Open Spybot Search and Destroy by Clicking the icon on your desktop

Step Two

Select Mode and click Advanced Mode

Step Three

You will receive the following Warning message, Click Yes

Click the Settings Tab

Step Five

Click Scheduler

Step Six

Click Add

Step Seven

Select both the boxes at the bottom, as displayed below

Step Eight

Click Edit

Step Nine

Select the Schedule Tab and then Click New

Step Ten

Now change the time to a time that is convenient for you, However, I do suggest that you keep it set to daily so it will clean your Computer once each day

Step Eleven

Click OK

Step Twelve

Enter your password is the box that is now displayed, by your password it means the password of the windows account you are logged into once you have entered your password click OK

Step Thirteen

Select Mode again and Change back to Default Mode

Step Fourteen

Exit the Programme

That's it!

You have now Scheduled Spybot Search and Destroy to run automatically at the time you set.

Please Note: You will need to run the programme ideally once a week to update and immunise.
