Spybot Tutorials
Installing Spybot v 1.4
This tutorial will show you in simple steps how to install Spybot Search and Destory on your computer.
Step One
Double click on the file that you downloaded (should look like this)
Step Two
Then select your Language and click OK
Step Three
Click Next
Step Four
Now read through the License Agreement and if you agree, Click accept then next.
Step Five
Now you'll be displayed with the path that spybot is going to be installed to with the default being C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy if for any reason you don't want the program installing in this directory then by all means change it. If your not sure about changing it then just leave as default and click Next.
Step Six
Now your on the Select Components screen, i would recommend that you are connected to the Internet at this point. and i would like to to check the box that says "Download updates immediately" the only box that should be unchecked is "Icons for starting blind user mode" unless you are blind of course. Then click next.
Step Seven
Now spybot will create a menu in your start menu unless you don't want a menu created here click next.
Step Eight
On this screen i would suggest that you click on (Tea Timer) if your using Internet Explorer, if not then just click Next.
Step Nine
Click Install.
Now its going to first attempt to download any available updates, (This can take a few minutes) then its going to install.
Step Ten
If spybot did download updates you'll usually be displayed with this screen. (see picture below) Click Install.
Step Eleven
Click Close.
Step Twelve
Click Finish.
Congratulations!
Spybot Search & Destroy is now installed
