Remove The Sidebar In Windows Vista
Windows vista comes with a bulit in feature on the right side of your screen called the Sidebar, now for most people the Sidebar can be very annoying. Which brings be nicly along to this tutorial where i will show you how to remove the side. You will not be uninstalling the Sidebar, you will be disabling the Sidebar so that it will not start when your computer does.
Step One
Right Click on an empty part of the Sidebar.
(see image for better understanding).
Step Two
Click Properties.
Step Three
Un-tick the box that says start Sidebar when windows starts.
Step Four
Click OK.
Now, the next time you start your computer the Sidebar will not be loaded.
If you wish to close the Sidebar now, so you dont have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect follow the remainding steps.
Step Five
Click the little arrow in the taskbar to show hidden icons may also be known as the less then symbol.

Step Six
Right Click on the Windows Sidebar icon.

Step Seven
Click Exit.
Your Sidebar is now disabled
Thats it your Sidebar it now gone, well more turned off because you are able to turn the Sidebar back on if you wish.. tho since you have followed this tutorial i find that unliky, in the slight case that you may change your mind be assured that the Sidebar can be restored and displayed once again.
