How To Uninstall Programs in Windows Vista
This tutorial is going to show you step by step how to uninstall a program in windows vista the right way, I say the right way because some people think that just deleting the icon or folders for a program is enough. However that is not the case, as this way will end up leaving parts of the program on your computer taking up space and potentially causing issues in the future. This tutorial will show you how to use the built in feature that windows vista has to remove a program the correct way thus ruling out any issues that you might have had in the future if you removed the program the wrong way.
Step One
Click on the Start Button. (see image if unsure)
Step Two
Click on Control Panel
Step Three
Switch to Classic View, by clicking on Classic View (see image below for location).
Step Four
Now that we are in Classic View scroll down until you find Programs and Features, Double Click Programs and features.
Step Five
Click once on a program you would like to uninstall to highlight
(for example see the image below where AVG 7.5 is highlighted).
Step Six
Click Uninstall, this will start the uninstall process for the highlighted/selected program.
Step Seven
Usually windows will ask for permission to continue the Uninstall, Click Continue.
Step Eight
Every program from here on in may bet slightly different to uninstall, just follow the on screen instructions to complete the uninstall. Once you have completed the uninstall process you will be back at the list of programs you have installed, the program you just uninstalled will no longer be visible in this list
