Missing Desktop Shortcut to Dial-Up Connection
So you don't have a shortcut icon on your desktop to your dial-up connection. This tutorial will show you where to find your actually dial-up Connection and how to create a new shortcut to make connecting easier in the future.
Step One
Click start and select Control Panel
Or
Hold down the Windows key and press R then type in Control Panel and click ok
Step Two
Make sure you are in classic view
If it says 'Switch to Category view then you are in classic view, otherwise click the on
'switch to classic view'.
Step Three
Click Network Connections
Step Four
Right click your Dial-up connection and Click create shortcut
Step Five
Click Yes.
Step Six
You now have a shortcut icon to your dialup connection on your desktop
Done!
You now have shortcut icon on your desktop for your dial up connection,
Go Back to Connecting With your Dial up
Connection.
