Disable those annoying "X Application has Encountered a Problem and Must be Shut Down" messages in Windows XP
Here are a few examples of this error:
"FireFox has Encountered a Problem and Must be Shut Down"
"Internet Explorer has Encountered a Problem and Must be Shut Down"
This list goes on, When your program crashes that's annoying enough but then you get a dialog box telling you about it and expecting you to "send an error report to Microsoft"
and I'm sure most of you click "don't send" anyway because most people don't want anything to do with Microsoft or are paranoid that there keeping track of you. So getting to the point, this tutorial is going to show you how to disable this error message.
Step One
Right click 'My Computer' ( If its on the desktop ) if not
Click 'Start' then Right Click 'My Computer'
(pictures below show both examples)

Step Two
Click on 'Properties'
Step Three
Select the 'Advanced' tab
Step Four
Click 'Error Reporting'
Step Five
Select 'Disable error reporting'
leave "but notify me when critical errors occur" checked!
Step Six
Click OK
Step Seven
Click OK again
There you go!
Well done! you have now got rid of those annoying dialogs error boxes! if for any reason you would like to turn them back on then just follow this tutorial again and uncheck the box.
