Setting the Time and Date

This tutorial will show you how to set the time and date in your Windows XP operating system. Some programs that you use will need your time and date to be set correctly so if you are unsure then use this tutorial to check and correct the time and date. Its very easy to follow and quick to complete.



Step One

Click on Start and Select Run
Or
Hold down the windows key and press 'R'

Step Two

Type in timedate.cpl then Click OK.

Step Three

Select the Month and the Year from the drop down boxes.

Step Four

Select the Day of the Month from the Calender.

Step Five

Enter the correct Time (In 24-hour format e.g 3.00pm = 15.00pm).

Step Six

Click Apply and then OK

All Done!

You have now successfully set the Time and Date on your computer, and should now know the basics of how to do this. You can also set the Time Zone and set the clock to auto update via the Internet but we will leave it there for now.
